Sweet Whiskey Glazed Salmon with Grilled Asparagus
 
Recipe instructions: Start by placing all the prepared ingredients for the marinade in a bowl and mix together. Place the salmon into the marinade and put in the fridge for at least 30 mins. Once marinated, place the salmon in a hot frying pan with olive oil and sear on both sides, then finish in the oven at 350 degrees for 8 - 10 mins. Whilst this is cooking, cut the ends of the asparagus and season with salt and pepper. Coat with olive oil and then place them under a grill for 8 - 10 mins or until they are cooked to your desired temperature. Then strain the marinade and set aside. When the salmon is cooked you can also set this aside. In the same pan pour in the strained marinade liquid and reduce this by half on a high heat. Then when ready, serve the salmon with the asparagus and pour over the reduced marinade. Finally, sprinkle some sesame seeds over.
