Pecan Pie
 
Recipe instructions: Start by preheating the oven to 375 degrees farenheit. Place the pecan pieces and chocolate chips evenly over the bottom of a pie crust which has been placed in a tin. Then place the remaining ingredients into a bowl and whisk. Pour this filling over the pecans and bake in the oven for 50 - 60 minutes or until the filling sets. Once cooked, remove from the oven and leave to cool. for at least 30 mins before serving.

Ingredients:
Pecan Pie Crust: 2 ½ Cups flour, 1 TBS Sugar, Pinch of salt, 1 Cup cold butter, ¼ Cup rendered bacon fat, 6-8 Ounces cold water. /nPecan Pie Filling: 4 Eggs, ½ Cup sugar, ½ Cup brown sugar, ½ Cup corn syrup, 1 ½ Cup pecans, 1 Cup semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Timescale:
This meal takes 40 mins to prepare and 1 hour to cook.
This meal will serve 6 people.
